Sun Comics-Axa Comic India-Vol.1 No.8
Presenting another rare Axa comic published by Sun Comics in India. This issue is titled 'The Earthbound' and was published in March, 1983
@Rafiq- I totally agree with you on this being the most daring comic series in Indian comic history. Forces one to feel that maybe the society was more tolerant and liberal back then, than it is at present times.
Visitors to this blog have shared their fond memories of an Axa poster which used to accompany these comics. Visualize that! :)
most daring....I have only 1 of this series n tht to in tattered condition, but I kept that! I have printed-out the b/w strisp those were published in these books, but reading the colored ones are more joyful as I understand specially when AXA was her @best!! ;))
Just funny ,at the same period,ToI was covering women in bikini(with more colors)in the Indrajal....they were more conservative in the '60s and '70s though!! '80s Ijc readers got more uncensored books, though no kissing/hugging scenes!! strange...
@Hojo - Lol. Yeah, I have come across several bikini clad ladies in ijc's as well. But our Axa here goes totally topless from time to time. Dont think the gals from Ijc can beat that! ;)

Don't remember a more daring cubic publication in India... the whole series was uncensored throughout, long back in those years.
